Johnson Controls Empire State Building Efficiency

One year after the energy efficient project plan was employed on the Empire State Building, the guarantee assured of the project has been able to surpass what was expected. The building has been able to cut on energy usage thus saving millions in the process and establishing an eco-friendly model of architecture that is yet to be emulated by real estate owners.

The whole idea of making the Empire State Building energy efficient was brought up by Anthony Malkin of the Empire State Building Company. Mr. Malkin together with the Clinton Climate Initiative Cities program was able to merge varied established organizations focused on ensuring energy efficient solutions for long term sustainability. The team that they came up with constituted of the Empire State Building Company, LLC; Johnson Controls, Inc; Jones Lang LaSalle and Rocky Mountain Institute.

The improvisation of innovation to the Empire State Building has been able to see the company accrue saved costs while at the same time coming up with a design that is eco-friendly. Aside from the reduction in emissions that harm the environment, job opportunities will be guaranteed while lots of expenditures cut in the long term. Empire State Building has therefore been able to attract high quality tenants most of whom work to better the environment as a platform of operation. The cut costs that have been realized within the first year are expected to heighten in the near future as half of he intended project is yet to be completed. This is set to be the vision on which future building infrastructure will be based on.
